Need a mouse that works properly, or has drivers for Linux

Running Mint Cinnamon on a Lenovo Ideapad 5. Works flawlessly except for mice (Hate touch pads)
Mice are all jerky and weird - wireless and corded. Even with touch pad OFF.
Anybody know what I can do?
Can fix or do I have to keep buying mic to try?
