Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller underwent an MRI that revealed no major damage to his ailing knee, and it remains uncertain whether he'll miss much time, if any, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Waller was diagnosed with a strained IT band, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The injury typically causes pain to the outside of the knee.

The 29-year-old exited Thursday's affair against the Dallas Cowboys in the second quarter and watched the second half from the sideline in street clothes. The Raiders went on to win in overtime, topping the Cowboys with a field goal.

Waller entered Week 12 leading Las Vegas in receiving yards, but Hunter Renfrow surpassed him on Thanksgiving. Waller had two catches for 33 yards against Dallas and has 643 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

The Raiders are in the thick of the AFC playoff race and will carry a 6-5 record into a Week 13 date with the Washington Football Team.
