Hamilton police beef up presence after suspicious male seen in Greenhill and Mount Albion neighbourhoods
Hamilton police say there will be an increased police presence in the Greenhill and Mount Albion neighbourhoods after reports of suspicious activity.
In a press release Saturday afternoon, police said there had been several reports of a suspicious male making his way around the east end neighbourhoods between the hours of 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police said the man was observed in yards of residences in the area. He's described as white, between the age of 25 and 30, standing five-foot-ten with a thin build.
Residents in the area can expect a visible police presence Saturday evening as officers will be conducting increased proactive patrols."
They're also reminded to take proactive steps" to ensure their own safety, such as ensuring all exterior doors to their home are locked, garage doors are closed, windows are shut and locked and exterior lights are on.
Residents who see the suspect are asked to call 911 immediately.
