'Roads are very slippery': 6-car crash in Milton closes major stretch of road

Halton Regional Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in Milton Tuesday (Nov. 30) that has led to a significant road closure.

Police say the collision occurred on Appleby Line between 14th Side Road and Derry Road around 8 a.m.

Halton police have closed a two-kilometre stretch of Appleby Line for the police investigation.

"Road conditions are poor and cars have slid down the hill (Rattlesnake Point)," Const. Ryan Anderson said. "The road has been shut down."

There's no immediate word on how many people were injured.

"Roads are very slippery. Please drive for the conditions," Halton police said in a tweet.
