OPP have arrested two people in connection of the sudden death of Hagersville resident Alex Dalton.

Dalton was killed after his motorcycle was struck from behind just before making it home April 23.

One 25-year-old person from Ohsweken has been charged with accessory after the fact, and if convicted, could be liable to be sentenced to imprisonment for life, and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years.

The other 25-year-old person, also of Ohsweken, was charged with public mischief - misleading, with intent to mislead, causes a peace officer to enter on or continue an investigation - and if convicted, could face up to five years of prison.

The OPP are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist with identifying the driver of the vehicle that fled the scene.

Dalton's parents spoke of the death in a video appeal released by OPP.

"I'll never forget it; never ever," said father Wayne, "Not as long as I live."

Dalton's mother, Andrea, echoes the words. "I don't think I'm managing well, he left a gaping hole, and that ache is never going to be filled," she said.

Andrea also had words for those responsible.

"I want them to know how devastated we are, but I also want them to know that they can't hide," said Andrea. "You can evade police, but you're not hiding from yourself. Regardless, you're carrying this the rest of your life here, and maybe beyond."
