Will linux certification help me get a job and make my career better?

I've been learning about Linux based OS for a while now, and even though I don't have a related career (electrical engineering) I would like to change careers to a software developer or systems engineering, and I understand the need to start with an entry job, but do you think if I get a Linux certification it can help me find a job? If so, is the associate certification enough or not even the administrator and engineer certification are enough as long as I don't have a CS degree or related. Also, I want to ask if anyone here found a job only with Linux certification?
