Three minors charged in series of armed robberies in downtown Hamilton
Hamilton police have arrested three minors in connection with a series of armed robberies in downtown Hamilton.
The robberies took place on Nov. 25 and 30, police said in a press release Friday.
Two suspects entered variety stores in the area of King Street West at Caroline on Nov. 25, and in the area of Main Street East at Victoria Avenue on Nov. 30, the release said.
Hamilton police say the first incident involved one suspect armed with a gun and one armed with a large knife. They added that the second incident also involved two suspects with similar descriptions to the first robbery. One was reported to be armed with a knife.
Police have charged two 14-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy with robbery with intent to steal and firearm- or imitation-related charges.
