CJ Linux 2.0?
by RickDe from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5T0JV)
I have an Carrier I-VU "Server" that died and I'm resetting it up in a new home and will attempt to VM it. I was able to remove the drive from it's intel mini PC and boot up in another PC. Linux is great that it just booted right up and all of the software on it is working!
I was able to clone the drive so I can play with this thing.
I would like to get the security on this thing updated since the Log4J stuff hit.
I'm fairly new to Linux so please forgive any stupid questions.
On boot it shows that it is CJ Linux 2.0. I was able to get into GRUB and here is the boot config:
root=(hd0,0)
kernel=/boot/bzImage ro root=/dev/sda1 quiet
I'm trying to figure out how to get to a command prompt and figure out what exact CJLinux is. It looks like the bzImage just loads linux and runs the Carrier software and disables any keyboard inputs.
Adding a "3" on the end of the kernel command does not give me a prompt.
The Grub is old. "ls" does not work.
Anyone know what CJLinux is?
Can anyone point me to a guide that I could migrate the carrier software off to another linux distro?
Thanks in Advanced
