Man, 27, charged with manslaughter after deadly overdose on Six Nations
A man has been charged with manslaughter after a woman died of an overdose earlier this year, Six Nations police said in a release.
On the morning of July 2, Six Nations police and emergency medical services were dispatched to an address on Chiefswood Road for a medical complaint. Two unconscious people were transported to the hospital, police said.
One of those individuals, a 20-year-old woman, was later pronounced dead.
As a result of continued investigation," the Six Nations police drug enforcement unit arrested and charged a 27-year-old man from Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation on Dec. 15 with manslaughter, unlawfully causing bodily harm and trafficking fentanyl.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date, they said.
