Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland reintroduce Covid restrictions as England delays

Physical distancing will be required in public places and there will be new limits on indoor gatherings from Boxing Day

New coronavirus restrictions are being introduced in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as the country's leaders try to combat rising Covid cases, but politicians in Westminster are unlikely to discuss further measures for England until Monday.

From 6am on Boxing Day, a maximum of six people will be allowed to meet in pubs, cinemas and restaurants in Wales.
