Arians tests positive for COVID-19
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians announced Tuesday he tested positive for COVID-19.
Arians, who's currently isolating at home, said he's only experienced "mild symptoms to this point."
"I look forward to rejoining the team and being back in the facility as soon as I can test back in," the 69-year-old coach added.
Assistant head coach/run game coordinator Harold Goodwin will serve as interim coach in Arians' absence.
The Buccaneers have been dealing with numerous COVID-related absences recently. They placed cornerbacks Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting on the reserve group Tuesday and added receiver Mike Evans to the list Monday. Wide receiver coach Kevin Garver also tested positive for the virus.
Tampa Bay has also been hit with multiple injuries. Running back Leonard Fournette and linebacker Lavonte David are among the starters who've been placed on injured reserve this month.
