Oakville Chamber of Commerce’s shipment of rapid antigen kits on back order

The Oakville Chamber of Commerce is advising the public to not go to the pick up site for rapid antigen screening kits on 193 Church St.

We have been advised by the Ministry of Health that our expected shipment of rapid antigen screening kits is on backorder," the Chamber's statement reads.

We have not been given a date for delivery."

Other chambers of commerce are reporting similar issues. President and CEO of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce Greg Durocher said in a statement that a shortage of rapid antigen screening kits threatens to hamper the ability of local Chambers to assist Waterloo Region businesses stay safe over the next few weeks."

Due to high demand, there is an extreme shortage of Rapid Antigen Test Kits and our shipment is on backorder with no estimated date of arrival," the Burlington Chamber of Commerce's website reads.
