A New Year’s plunge to wash away 2021

Some said it was a chance to wash away 2021. For others, the annual polar bear plunge in Lake Ontario was a way to shake off the effects of New Year's Eve the night before.
One participant was continuing a 70-year tradition.
About 35 people took the annual plunge into Lake Ontario Saturday at Van Wagner's Beach.
Some hearty souls managed to bear out the approximately 4 C water for a full five minutes.
