Report: Packers' Bakhtiari expected to make season debut vs. Lions
Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari is expected to make his season debut Sunday against the Detroit Lions, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Bakhtiari hasn't played since suffering a torn ACL during practice in December 2020.
The 30-year-old's return is a major boost to the Packers' offensive line ahead of the playoffs. Bakhtiari earned the second first-team All-Pro nod of his career last season. He's started 118 games for Green Bay since being drafted in the fourth round in 2013.
The three-time Pro Bowler inked a four-year, $92-million extension with the Packers in November 2020.
Green Bay has already locked up the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but head coach Matt LaFleur plans to play his starters versus Detroit in Week 18, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
