Today’s coronavirus news: Remote learning continues for some in Ontario due to winter storm

A third person has been arrested and charged in relation to the hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of Alex Dalton, 23.

A 30-year-old Waterford woman has been charged with accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence and public mischief.

Dalton was riding his motorcycle on April 23, 2020, travelling westbound on King Street West in Hagersville near Sarah Street when he was struck by a westbound 2001 blue Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility vehicle. Dalton was ejected and hit an eastbound pickup truck. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the Tahoe left the crime scene and continued westbound on King Street West and then northbound onto Ojibway Road, where the vehicle was abandoned. The vehicle had been reported stolen.

A 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Ohsweken, were previously charged in relation to the case.
