‘Multiple gunshot wounds’: One rushed to hospital in Oakville shooting

Halton Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Oakville Sunday night (Jan. 16) that has sent a person to hospital with serious injuries.

Shortly after 6:15 p.m., police responded to a shooting in front of a residence in the area of Zachary Crescent and Post Road in Oakville.

One victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries from multiple gunshot wounds," police said in a news release.

Two suspects fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival and remain outstanding at this time. Suspects are considered armed and dangerous," police said.

This is believed to be a targeted shooting.
