Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Malik McDowell was arrested on charges of exposing himself in public, resisting arrest with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer in Florida on Monday, according to an arrest report obtained by the South Florida Sun Sentinel's Lisa J. Huriash and Chris Perkins.

Deputies received a call that a naked man was walking near a school, per the police report. It was actually a learning center for children, not a school, but it was in session at the time, Assistant State Attorney Eric Linder told a judge Tuesday. Linder said surveillance video shows McDowell on the property naked.

According to police, McDowell charged at a deputy in a "violent attack" that left the officer "dazed" and then fled. The officer used a Taser on McDowell in order to handcuff him, the report said.

The 25-year-old McDowell was previously arrested on a DUI charge in September 2017 and a disorderly conduct charge in December of that same year. He was also arrested in February 2019 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and assault.

The Seattle Seahawks drafted McDowell in 2017 but released him in 2019 before he played in a single game with the franchise. He signed with the Browns in 2021.
