Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee will miss Super Bowl LVI due to a knee injury, but running back Darrell Henderson will return versus the Cincinnati Bengals, the team announced Friday.

The team placed Higbee and offensive lineman Joseph Noteboom on injured reserve while activating Henderson and defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day.

Higbee was injured against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game and failed to practice leading up to the Super Bowl. Kendall Blanton stepped up in his absence, catching five passes for 57 yards to surpass his regular-season totals.

Higbee served as one of quarterback Matthew Stafford's security blankets throughout the campaign. He finished with 61 receptions for 560 yards and five touchdowns, adding nine catches for 115 yards in the playoffs.

Henderson has been out since injuring his knee in Week 16. He was expected to miss three-to-five weeks. The 24-year-old ran for 688 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season, leading Rams running backs with 4.6 yards per carry.

The Rams have featured Cam Akers in the backfield since Henderson left the lineup. The sophomore returned early from a preseason Achilles tear and is averaging 2.8 yards per carry in the postseason. Sony Michel has also received touches, but he only has 78 yards on 24 carries in the playoffs.
