Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott underwent surgery on his non-throwing shoulder, head coach Mike McCarthy announced Tuesday, according to the Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken.

McCarthy said Prescott's procedure was a "clean up" and doesn't expect it to limit the signal-caller in offseason workouts.

"It's not a concern. We have no concern," said McCarthy. "He is doing well."

The Cowboys shut the 28-year-old down during last year's training camp as he dealt with a right shoulder issue. Prescott was also coming off a season-ending ankle injury.

Prescott threw for 4,449 yards and 37 touchdowns against 10 interceptions while guiding Dallas to an 11-5 record through his 16 starts in 2021. He missed one game with a hamstring injury.
