March madness means 16 C on Sunday but snow Monday
Hamilton could set a new high-temperature mark Sunday - but forecasters are calling for a mixed bag of weather this weekend and into next week.
As we crawl out from under the city's ninth cold alert Friday morning, temperatures are heading up.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 16 C on Sunday, but the bookends look less promising.
Clouds are expected to move into the area Saturday morning after a day of sunshine and high of 2 C on Friday. Temperatures will dip again Friday night, feeling like -12 C with the wind chill. Saturday's high is 4 C.
The day to look forward to this weekend is Sunday.
The weather forecaster says on its website the record high for March 6 was 16.4 C in 2009.
Don't break out shorts just yet, though. Wind and rain are likely alongside the warmer temperatures, and snow is in the forecast for Monday.
