Panthers ink Moore to new 4-year contract for reported $73M
The Carolina Panthers agreed to a new four-year contract with wide receiver DJ Moore that begins in 2022 and replaces his fifth-year option, the team announced Friday.
Moore will earn $73 million over the span of the deal, including $41.61 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The pact reportedly contains $61.884 million in new money.
Moore has blossomed into a star since Carolina drafted him 24th overall in 2018. Despite playing with a multitude of quarterbacks, the 24-year-old has surpassed 1,100 yards in each of the last three seasons.
With 4,313 career receiving yards, Moore already ranks fourth in team history behind Steve Smith Sr., Muhsin Muhammad, and Greg Olsen.
