The Dallas Cowboys are interested in adding free agent Jason Pierre-Paul to their pass-rushing corps, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Dallas already signed Dante Fowler but could bring in another veteran to offset losing Randy Gregory, who departed for the Denver Broncos. The Cowboys still have DeMarcus Lawrence and Dorance Armstrong on their roster in addition to Fowler.

Pierre-Paul is coming off a 2.5-sack campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, though he played through a torn labrum in his shoulder. He had 9.5 sacks in 2020 and recorded at least eight sacks in every season from 2017-20, making him one of the NFL's most consistent pass-rushers.

The 33-year-old Pierre-Paul is among the top edge defenders still on the market after a week of free agency. Za'Darius Smith, Melvin Ingram, Jerry Hughes, and Justin Houston headline the other veteran options.
