Price: $2,425,000
Neighbourhood: Raleigh
Features: Perched on the edge of the escarpment and within walking distance to Concession Street, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom condominium is one of the city's most expensive units on the market.
Located in the Madison Condos on Mountain Park Avenue, the unit was custom-finished by its current owners about six years ago, said salesperson Cathy Boytos with Royal LePage Realty Plus.
It was painstakingly built from the ground up," said Boytos, noting the sellers were highly involved in every step of the transformation. Every single part was a huge undertaking, nothing was overlooked."
Spanning just under 2,400 square feet, the condominium features an open-concept kitchen with an island built for entertaining, granite countertops, pullout drawers and a commercial-grade gas stove.
The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet with built-ins as well as a five-piece ensuite bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower and soaker tub. The main living area has a gas fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the lower city.
The unit has also been finished with motorized blinds, tinted front glass windows as well as LED lights under and above the cabinets. A number of the fixtures were also imported from abroad, added Boytos.
It's quite opulent," she said. It sort of makes you feel like you're in a movie."
Within the 20-unit building, residents also have access to a fitness facility. This particular condo has two terraces, a private elevator and a pair of underground parking spaces.
Boytos said the condominium could be ideal for a health-care professional, a pair of retirees or someone looking to downsize who is not willing to give up what they're used to in terms of a detached home."
Why is it priced this way? Boytos said the price of the unit was influenced by upcoming developments in the city as well as previous sales within the building.
Last year, a unit in the building sold for $1.5 million but it was not as upgraded," she noted.
