There's a whole lot going on in the neighbourhood this weekend.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 8 C on Sunday.

Here's a taste of what Hamilton has to offer.

Game Day

Saturday night the Toronto Rock are home at the FirstOntario Centre taking on the San Diego Seals. The sporting begins at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $25.

The Peterborough Petes are coming to town, they take on the Bulldogs Sunday, also at FirstOntario Centre. The puck drops at 2 p.m. It'll cost $22 to get in the door.

Live Music

If you're hankering for the sweet sounds of instrumentation in your ear holes there's no shortage of options throughout the area.

Beer things

If the idea of craft brewers, sample sips and unmasked beer lovers in the conference room of a Burlington hotel interests you, then you'll want to check out the Winter Beer Festival. Easter

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 36 in Dundas is putting on an Easter Bazaar with artisan vendors, handmade perogies, cabbage rolls and more. Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free admission and parking.

Last chance at Van Gogh

If you've longed to attend a certain museum in Amsterdam which celebrates the works of a one-eared Dutch painter, this event closer to home may scratch that itch.

Get up close to the paint strokes in Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" at Hamilton Convention Centre on until April 10. Through projection technology and an original score, Beyond Van Gogh" breathes new life into more than 300 of Van Gogh's artworks. It's open Wednesday to Sunday. vangoghhamilton.com

For the kids

For the little humans interested in the great outdoors and the creepy crawlies that inhabit it check out the RBG Centre. Under the Canopy: Animals of the Rainforest is running until May 1 at the Royal Botanical Gardens. rbg.ca

At the cinema

City of Hamilton's curbside yard waste collection has returned. Each week until Dec. 9, 2022, you can place unlimited yard waste out for collection on your scheduled pickup day.
