Shooting overnight Monday in east Hamilton

Hamilton police are investigating an overnight shooting at an east Hamilton home that detectives believe was a targeted incident.
Police responded to a townhouse complex on Martha Street, just south of Barton Street East and west of the Red Hill Valley Parkway, around 3:30 a.m. Monday, April 18, for a report of a shooting.
Officers found bullet holes in a home. No one was shot, but one person suffered minor injuries from broken glass, police said in a media release.
There is no risk to public safety, police said. There will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day Monday as police investigate.
Detectives from the Division 20 criminal investigation branch have taken over the investigation.
Police are asking residents in the area to review any surveillance cameras around the time of the shooting.
