Hamilton police looking for ‘multiple suspects’ in Martha Street shooting
Hamilton police say multiple suspects were involved in an early-morning shooting Monday at a Martha Street townhouse complex.
Police released pictures of several suspects captured on surveillance at 44 Martha St., southwest of Barton Street East and the Red Hill Valley Parkway, around the time shots were fired into a townhouse.
Emergency services were called to the complex around 3:30 a.m. April 18 and found bullet holes in one of the units. At the scene, a bullet hole could be seen in the front window of Unit 36.
Police said one person suffered minor injuries from broken glass.
Detectives from the division two criminal investigation branch continue to investigate. They are asking people in the area to check security cameras and dash camera footage between 2 and 4 a.m. Monday.
This marked the 10th shooting incident in Hamilton this year, which police said was four more than this time last year.
The shootings include one person killed - Shane Grenier, 39, was fatally shot and his body dumped from a black BMW on Tisdale Street South March 6.
Police said the Martha Street shooting is believed to be targeted.
