New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen squashed the idea that wide receiver Kadarius Toney is on the trade block.

"We're not shopping Kadarius Toney," Schoen said Friday, according to The Athletic's Dan Duggan.

Schoen cleared the air following a report last week that the NFC East club was looking to trade the 2021 first-round pick. The Florida alum did report to the Giants' training facility shortly after trade rumors began to circulate.

Toney has encountered a few mishaps since being drafted last year. He missed time last season due to hamstring, ankle, quad, thumb, oblique, and shoulder ailments. He also tested positive for COVID-19 twice and was ejected from a game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Toney produced 39 receptions for 420 yards in his rookie season.

The Giants selected receiver Wan'Dale Robinson with the No. 43 overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, veteran Sterling Shepard could miss the start of the 2022 campaign as he continues to rehab from a torn Achilles sustained in Week 15 against the Cowboys last year.
