The Calgary Flames are one win from advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after defeating the Dallas Stars 3-1 on Wednesday night in Game 5.
Calgary scored three goals in the third period, and Andrew Mangiapane broke a 1-1 deadlock midway through the frame to provide Calgary the edge before Trevor Lewis deposited an empty-netter.
Jacob Markstrom made 20 saves in the victory, Calgary's second in a row after falling behind 2-1 in the series.
