Ontario Provincial Police report human remains pulled from Grand River in Dunnville
Police are reporting that human remains have been pulled from the Grand River in Dunnville.
The OPP's Haldimand detachment, along with county fire and emergency services, arrived at the scene at 1:22 p.m. on May 17.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause of death," Const. Mary Gagliardi wrote in a news release.
The Haldimand detachment's crime unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, under the direction of the OPP's criminal investigation branch.
"There is no threat to public safety," Gagliardi said.
