'Avoid the area': Violent incident in Oakville neighbourhood sends 1 to hospital and triggers lengthy road closure

Halton Regional Police are investigating an incident in Oakville Monday (May 30) that has sent at least one person to hospital.
Officers have yet to make any arrests in the incident that occurred around 4 a.m. Monday (May 30) in the area of Dundas Street and William Cutmore Boulevard.
Police have confirmed a weapon was used and say at least one person has gone to hospital with unknown injuries.
Officers say there is significant "police activity" in the area and drivers and pedestrians are being asked to "avoid the area" for the time being.
