Titans' Burks 'attacking' every day following early struggles

Rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks is gradually adjusting to life in the NFL after some early struggles since being drafted by the Tennessee Titans.

"Every player comes into situations differently," Burks said Tuesday, according to ESPN's Turron Davenport. "I'm just attacking it every day that I can. I'm just taking it one day at a time, and everything else will take care of itself."

Burks reportedly struggled in his first practice with the club during rookie minicamp last month and couldn't finish. He was spotted using an inhaler before briefly rejoining practice.

The 22-year-old wideout declined to explain why he needed the inhaler. Head coach Mike Vrabel also refused to address the matter and instead praised the rookie pass-catcher Wednesday for his daily improvement.

"We're excited about Treylon," Vrabel said, per Ben Arthur of the Nashville Tennessean. "We feel good about every guy we draft. That's why we draft them. He's gotten better each day he's been here."

Burks has reportedly been limited during open sessions of organized team activities this week.

The Titans' young wideout said, "Everything isn't perfect," when asked by reporters about his inability to complete drills, Arthur adds.

Tennessee expects Burks to immediately contribute after trading A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles and selecting the Arkansas product with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 draft.

Burks, alongside veterans Robert Woods and Austin Hooper, are among new pass-catching weapons for a team that averaged 201.1 yards per contest last season.
