Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz will report to mandatory minicamp Tuesday, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Schultz's attendance reportedly comes as contract talks with Dallas have picked up, though a deal still isn't imminent. The 25-year-old is currently slated to play on the franchise tag, worth $10.931 million for 2022.

The Cowboys and Schultz, who sat out the last session of OTAs after attending earlier workouts, have until July 15 to negotiate a long-term deal.

He could've been fined $15,515 for skipping the first day of minicamp, $31,030 for the second, and $46,540 for the third.

Schultz produced a career year last season, racking up 78 catches for 808 yards and eight touchdowns. He could be set for an even more prominent role in 2022 following receiver Amari Cooper's trade to the Cleveland Browns.
