Hamilton police find loaded gun, arrest man after early-morning shooting
A 33-year-old man is facing multiple firearm charges after an early-morning shooting Monday.
Hamilton police were called to Roxborough and Grosvenor avenues shortly before 2 a.m. June 13 for reports of possible shots fired.
Police secured the area, however, no suspects or victims were found. Evidence at the scene confirmed a shooting took place.
There are no reported injuries, police said.
Through the investigation detectives determined they were looking for a single suspect. Within 24 hours they identified and arrested the 33-year-old Hamilton man.
During his arrest police allegedly found a loaded gun with an extended magazine, ammunition, drugs and Canadian money.
The 33-year-old faces a dozen charges, including multiple firearm charges, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime under $5,000, two counts of possession contrary to an order and fail to comply with a release order.
