Features Located near the historic downtown strip and just steps away from the Dundas Museum and Archives, this home is one of three properties in the surrounding community that are listed for more than $2 million.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom Park Street West home, known as The Scott House, was constructed in 1858, boasts more than 3,000 square feet of living space and encapsulates the best of both worlds," said Steve Roblin, a broker with Judy Marsales Real Estate Ltd.

Beyond its sandstone exterior, carved woodwork, hardwood floors and fireplaces dot the home's interior. The bathrooms have been treated to modern upgrades, the windows and roof have been replaced and the staircase has been completely restored.

You're completely immersed in history," said Roblin. Even as fads come and go, this home will always be timeless."

The main floor of the home features an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, a den with built-in bookshelves, a separate dining area and a large, open-concept living area.

Upstairs, there are four large bedrooms, including the primary suite, which has walk-in closets and a four-piece, ensuite bathroom with a claw-foot tub.

Outside, the backyard of the home features a covered deck, heated pool, a detached two-car garage and a two-storey coach house that could be used as the ultimate hangout spot," added Roblin.

The lower level of the home consists of an in-law suite, complete with its own kitchen, living area and bathroom.

Roblin said based on the features of the property and proximity to schools, the home would be ideal for a young family. He noted that a buyer would also need to appreciate the history of the house, as it is deserving of a steward."

Why is it priced this way? Roblin said they landed on the price after considering the home's location, its updates and its heritage qualities.

He also noted a home on nearby Cross Street sold for $2.66 million in October 2021.
