Federal offender wanted for breaching long-term supervision order
Ontario's repeat offender parole enforcement (ROPE) squad is asking the public for help finding a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly breaching his long-term supervision order.
Derek Powell is serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence after being convicted of assault with a weapon, two counts of utter threats to cause death or harm, two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of assault a peace officer, mischief and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The 53-year-old is known to frequent the Brantford, Cambridge, Whitby and Oshawa areas.
Powell is described as a Caucasian male, five-foot-eight and 269 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
