The Montreal Canadiens re-signed restricted free-agent goaltender Sam Montembeault to a two-year, one-way contract, the team announced Monday.
The deal is worth $1 million per season, according to TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie.
The 25-year-old posted an .891 save percentage and a 3.77 goals against average in 38 appearances with the Habs last season.
Montembeault was originally a third-round pick by the Florida Panthers in 2015. The Becancour, Quebec, native spent the first two years of his career in Sunrise before Montreal claimed him off waivers in October 2021.
