Heat warning issued for Hamilton Tuesday
The city has issued a heat warning starting Tuesday as scorching temperatures are forecast to hit Hamilton.
Tuesday and Wednesday could feel like 40 C with humidity, the city said in a release, as daytime highs are expected to reach nearly 31 C.
An overnight low of around 20 C on Tuesday will provide little relief from the heat, the city added.
Conditions are expected to cool Thursday with a high of 28 C and low of 19 C.
The city will activate cooling locations during the hot and humid stretch, which can be found on an interactive map at hamilton.ca/heat.
Anyone experiencing signs of heat exhaustion - which include heavy sweating, weakness, cold, pale and clammy skin, weak pulse, fainting and vomiting - should seek help immediately and call 911 if needed, the city said.
