Call it the Civic holiday, Simcoe Day, bank holiday, or just the long weekend.
Here's a list of what's open and what's closed on Monday.
It's not a statutory holiday so many retail stores will be open and operate on holiday hours.
Hamilton and Burlington do not have green bin, blue box or garbage pickup Monday. Pickups will be one day later than usual. There is no change to pick up in Niagara.
Community recycling centres and transfer stations are closed Monday for Hamilton and Halton.
All City of Hamilton and Burlington administrative offices will be closed Monday.
There will be nomail collection or delivery.
Ontario Works Program, including the Special Supports Program, will be closed on Monday.
All City of Hamilton recreation centres, senior centres and arenas are closed.
Hamilton indoor pools and wading pools are closed.
Outdoor pools will operate for normal hours on Monday.
Hamilton's park Supie program is closed on Monday.
Burlington's indoor pools are closed. Arenas and community centres are closed.
All McMaster University Athletics & Recreation facilities are closed Monday.
Hamilton Farmers' Market is closed Sunday and Monday.
Hamilton's Tropical Greenhouse at Gage Park will be closed on Monday.
The Art Gallery of Hamilton is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.
Hamilton civic museums are closed on Monday.
Hamilton and Burlington public libraries are closed on Monday.
The HSR, Burlington Transit and GO Transit are operating on a Sunday schedule. DARTS will operate on a holiday schedule.
GO trains are on a Saturday schedule on Monday.
Most LCBO and beer stores across Ontario are open on Monday, as are most grocery stores and malls.
Jackson Square is closed. Lime Ridge Mall is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Eastgate Mall is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and store hours at Centre on Barton will vary.
