The San Francisco 49ers signed star wide receiver Deebo Samuel to a three-year extension, the team announced Monday.

Samuel's new deal is worth up to $73.5 million, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. It also reportedly includes $58.1 million guaranteed.

The contract also contains $1.95 million in incentives based on his rushing production, Schefter adds.

Deebo Samuel will receive $650,000 per year for each year he has 380 or more rushing yards.

Samuel also will earn $150,000 if he scores three rushing TDs in any one year.

He maxes out at $650,000 per year and 1.95 million over the life of his new contract.

The 2021 first-team All-Pro wideout was sitting out training camp while negotiations were ongoing.

Samuel recorded career-best marks in several statistical categories last season. He made 77 receptions for 1,405 yards, six touchdowns, with a league-leading 18.2 yards per catch average. The rising star recorded 1,770 scrimmage yards along with 14 total touchdowns.

The 26-year-old requested a trade from the Niners during the offseason amid a standoff with the organization over an extension; San Francisco shut down multiple offers from teams interested in acquiring the star pass-catcher.

Samuel was set to earn $3.9 million in the final year of his rookie pact with the Niners.

The South Carolina product has tallied 167 receptions, 2,598 receiving yards, and 10 receiving scores since San Francisco drafted him in the second round in 2019.

Samuel's extension arrives just days after DK Metcalf agreed to terms on a $72-million deal with the Seattle Seahawks. The pair joined Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, and A.J. Brown in resetting the market at the position.
