The Calgary Flames and restricted free-agent blue-liner Oliver Kylington have agreed to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $2.5 million, the team announced Tuesday.

The two sides were scheduled for an arbitration hearing Aug. 10 before settling. Kylington played last season on a one-year, $750,000 deal, and will be an unrestricted free agent when his new pact expires.

Kylington is coming off a breakout year, reaching career highs in games played (73), goals (nine), points (31), and average ice time (18:10). The 25-year-old showed promise on both ends of the ice, according to his underlying stats on Evolving-Hockey.

The Flames drafted Kylington 60th overall in 2015. He hadn't played more than 48 games in a season until 2021-22.

Calgary also signed RFA Andrew Mangiapane to a new deal on Tuesday.
