A section of King Street East is closed Friday afternoon after a building partially collapsed.

The facade of a building collapsed near King and East Avenue North, spilling bricks onto the sidewalk and into the street.

In an email, the fire department said there were no injuries reported. The fire department said it is working with the city's building department and Hamilton police on traffic and scene control.

According to a tweet from Hamilton police's traffic account around 3:30 p.m., King is closed from Emerald Street North to East.

More to come.
