Man and woman arrested in Brantford murder

Brantford police say a man and woman wanted in connection with the death of a 68-year-old man last month have been arrested.

Rorey Hill, 38, and Jessica Poreba, 41, were arrested on Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder, police said in a press release Thursday night.

Police were called to a Colborne Street address around 5 p.m. on July 22. There, they found the 68-year-old man dead.

Several days later, police issued a public appeal with pictures and descriptions of Hill and Poreba asking for help finding the pair.

Police have refused to release the victim's name or any details about the homicide, citing an active and ongoing" investigation.

In an earlier statement, police said the victim and wanted pair were known to each other.

The investigation is ongoing.
