Peachy perfection at 2022 Winona Peach Festival
It was peachy perfection.
After three long years, the Winona Peach Festival made its long-awaited return Aug. 26 to 28 at Winona Park.
Thousands of visitors flooded the midway, entertainment and food court areas Saturday evening and throughout the weekend to celebrate the traditional end-of-summer festival.
Donna Epifani and daughter Christina Jean Pierre were among thousands who waited patiently for a peach sundae on Saturday.
It's worth the wait," said Jean Pierre, after receiving her sundae served by the Winona Men's Club.
Several politicians and candidates running in the upcoming municipal election helped serve peach sundaes. There were plenty of other peachy delights, like peach crepes and peach pies, plus the usual variety of savoury festival foods.
The midway was buzzing and the entertainment stage featured a mix of local performers and tribute bands.
