Woman pulled out of Lake Ontario in Oakville without vital signs, child rescued
A woman has been rushed to hospital without vital signs and a 12-year-old boy has been rescued after Halton police, Oakville firefighters and Halton Region Paramedics responded to a possible drowning in Oakville.
Emergency services were called to the lake for a potential drowning.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 29, reports came in that two people had gone under the water roughly 100 metres offshore at Coronation Park in Oakville. Police, EMS and the fire department responded to the call to rescue the adult woman and male child, approximately 12 years of age.
Marine units were dispatched. The boy was brought aboard the police boat and brought to shore.
After locating the woman, she was brought ashore, where firefighters performed CPR before taking her to hospital via ambulance. She was without vital signs, according to reports.
