Highway 6 reopened after crash at Parkside
A stretch of Highway 6 has reopened Wednesday morning following two crashes.
Southbound lanes of the highway were closed for a couple of hours for cleanup and repairs after a truck struck Bell wires on Parkside Drive, where the highway was already closed because of an earlier collision.
The first crash happened around 6 a.m. on Highway 6 near Parkside and is being investigated by Ontario Provincial Police.
Hamilton Paramedic Service Supt. Dave Thompson said two people were assessed on scene and did not require transport to hospital.
However, while emergency services were on scene, a truck struck the Bell wires, said Hamilton police Const. Krista-Lee Ernst.
Highway 6 was reopened by 8:30 a.m.
