Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope legacy is a September tradition across Canada.

Runs, walks and community events are back in person after COVID-19 restrictions dulled it down to virtual events the last two years.

Fundraise for cancer research as a team or run as an individual on Sunday. Here are the local runs you can participate in.

Hamilton Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, between 10 a.m. and noon; registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Meet near the flagpole in Gage Park. There is also a virtual McMaster University run.

Waterdown Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m.; registration begins at 8 a.m. Waterdown Memorial Park, 200 Hamilton St. N. Walk, wheel or run in support of cancer research.

Stoney Creek Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m.; registration begins at 9 a.m. Hutch's on the Beach, 280 Van Wagners Beach Rd. Walk, cycle, run 5 km or 10 km or any distance you can tackle.

Dundas Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. for the kids' fun run and 9:15 a.m. for adults; registration begins at 8 a.m. Dundas Driving Park, 71 Cross St. Wheelchair accessible. Kids run 1K, and there will also be a 5K run.

Dunnville Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, between 1 and 3 p.m.; registration begins at noon. Pavilion at Byng Island Conservation Park.

Caledonia Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m.; registration begins at 9 a.m. La Fortune Park, meet at Lower La Fortune Parking lot, 2365 Haldimand County Hwy. 54. Five and 10 km routes.

Burlington Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m.; registration begins at 8 a.m. Meet at the foot of Brant Street in front of the Waterfront Hotel.

Grimsby Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, between 10 a.m. and noon; registration begins at 9 a.m. Grimsby Peach King Centre, 162 Livingston Ave.

Brantford Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, at 9:30 a.m.; registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Lion's Park Arena, 20 Edge St. Bicycle, rollerblade, wheelchair.

Paris Terry Fox Run, Sunday, Sept. 18, 11 a.m.; registration begins at 10 a.m. Paris District High School on Grand River Street.

Can't run, walk or roll? Donations are gladly accepted. The traditional school runs are Friday, Sept. 23. Each school organizes its own event times.
