No Dak, no problem: Cowboys get 1st win, Bengals drop to 0-2
The Dallas Cowboys earned their first win of the season after Brett Maher nailed a 50-yard field goal as time expired to seal a 20-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Cooper Rush made his second career start in place of injured starting quarterback Dak Prescott and finished the evening completing 19-of-31 attempts for 235 yards and one touchdown.
Dallas' defense harassed Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, hauling him down for six sacks during the contest. Cincinnati was able to tie the game at 17 apiece in the fourth quarter after being down 17-3 after halftime.
The Cowboys land their first victory following a lopsided defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1. Dallas will face off against NFC East rivals New York Giants on Monday Night Football in Week 3.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati will look to earn its first victory of the 2022 campaign in next Sunday's matchup against the New York Jets.
