Man injured in early morning shooting at east Hamilton restaurant
Hamilton police say they are investigating an overnight shooting at a restaurant in the city's east end that sent one man to hospital.
In a press release, police said just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to reports of a shooting at Mint Restaurant and Lounge in Parkway Plaza on Centennial Parkway North near Eastgate Square.
On scene, police located a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to hospital and is in stable condition, with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators remained at the plaza on the corner of Barton Street East and Centennial Parkway Sunday morning. Officers could be seen photographing evidence, including bullet casings in the parking lot in front of the restaurant.
