San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is eligible to make his season debut Sunday against the Denver Broncos after missing the opening two games with a groin injury.

Kittle is off the injury report for Sunday's game after being listed as questionable the previous two weeks.

"He's good to go," head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The 28-year-old suffered the injury during practice in early September. The 49ers didn't want to take any unnecessary risks with Kittle early in the season.

Kittle finished the 2021 season with 910 yards on 71 catches and six touchdowns.

49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will make his first start of the campaign after filling in last week for Trey Lance, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury.
