An early-morning garage fire caused $40,000 in damage to a Stoney Creek home.
No one was injured in the blaze at 23 Third Road East shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday.
Everyone got out of the house safely before Hamilton firefighters arrived on the scene.
Roughly 12 units were called in to battle the garage fire and police assistance was requested before it was extinguished.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Police remained at the house Saturday and the Ontario Fire Marshal was notified.
